The use of lightweight components such as fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP), and especially carbon fiber reinforced plastic parts (CFRP) is becoming more and more important in the automotive industry.
The Theo Hillers GmbH from Kall, Germany searched for a solution for the handling of sieves and their sprues. ASS Maschinenbau faced challenge to design and construct an extremely light, functionally integrated gripper for the removal of sieves for the pharmaceutical industry.

At the Fakuma in Friedrichshafen at booth B1-1205 there can be seen an ASS robot hand in a plastic injection moulding machine. The gwk Gesellschaft Wärme Kältetechnik mbH from Meinerzhagen, Germany shows an ASS gripper during the moulding process.
At the Fakuma in Friedrichshafen ASS Maschinenbau presents new gripper components and an enlarged product range for the original Robot Hand Kit (EOAT).
